Hey everybody back into the swing of things with another snap shot so to speak of different articles that grabbed my attention. If you find something you'd like me to toss up here and talk about on a journal i'll gladly take requests and of course feel free to comment as well just don't be a dick. This time we have a story talking about Starbucks raising its prices, Wallstreet protesters evicted from the park in New York, Peta's outraged over mario Tanooki suit, Obama mixes up where he is with being in Asia, and decades old lost JFK tapes taken right after his assassination.
The first story on the agenda is apparently Starbucks in some areas has decided they need to raise prices after apparently not doing so hot. Thankfully I live in Idaho so I get to avoid the extra charge but it sounds like this is primarily related to coffee. I have never been crazy about coffee unless it has a ton of sugar in there in other words I cannot taste it though I do love a vanilla latte from there. As a whole it seems fairly wrong and kind of short sided I think they will for sure experience a massive backlash:
Starbucks raises its prices
In New York, Occupy Wallstreet protesters were evicted from the park because as Mayor Bloomberg said Zucotti park was becoming an area for crime and violence to occur. During the night police moved in and cleared the protesters out and the court issued an eviction order. Well the judge held up the ruling. Personally I think its the right thing to do these guys are taking on a mind of there own. I think many of them have lost entirely the reason they are protesting instead they just want to stir shit up just for the sake of stirring shit up. I'd say it speaks volumes when hardcore liberal Bloomberg kicks them out of the park
Clearing them out
Wow, PETA (People for the ethical treatment of animals) or as I describe them for eating tasty animals because they are so ridiculous. This new outrage puts them at a whole new level of stupidity. Just going to go out on a crazy ass limb and say none of them played Mario Brothers if they had they'd get the fact that the Tanooki suit ie the one that gives Mario the ability to fly has been around for a good many years now since number 3 was released. They are claiming that somehow they are encouraging the wearing of fur and the killing of these animals whom they claim are killed for fur blah blah blah. The Japanese are saying whoa there Peta seriously in our culture its believed to be a magical animal. Two big thumbs up for PETA on this.
PETA at it again
Mmm so Obama had a stupid moment on Sunday. He was in Hawii clearly and doing a press conference and started to talk about how he was glad to be here handling the economic situation in regards to Asia. Big problem as I mentioned he is not in Asia. He makes Perry's agency goof up and that followed by Cain's goof up look like chump change I mean this is the president of the United States for crying out loud
Its Asia
And whew the final story on the agenda which I think is pretty cool is apparently they found a copy of previously unreleased tapes that contain recordings on the flights right after the Kennedy Assassination. As with the others. Its on sale for 500,000 dollars. Talk about an awesome piece in history I don't know what it is but essentially there will always be that allure because we will never know. If i could own it i would buy it for sure
JFK tapes for sale
Well that's all for this turn of News Time. Hope all is well in your world's feel free to comment let me know what you think. I'll catch ya on the flip side

News Time issue: Sandusky and Penn State
Readers:
Hey everybody school's had me in a bind hence the not doing anything for a good while. Though I have decided that I am also going to use my blog/political blog to pick issues that really grab my attention. I'd really like to further comment on this story as it is unfolding. Now Sandusky is saying he didn't molest the boys and his lawyer defending him is claiming he was just stupid and showered with little boys that was his worst crime. In my earlier story I commented on the fact that McQueary didn't come forward though apparently he did in this article.
Story about him talking about it
Of course its truly difficult to sort through what is the actual facts and what is not the facts in this story as well which is a pain in the ass. I think we are all left being arm chair quarterbacks though I am going to say if he did do the crime it is a horrid act and absolutly despicable. This past week's firing of the president of the university and Panera the coach whom had been there for sixty years were both the right thing to do and very simply nothing more than trying to save the horses after the barns already burnt to the ground with them trapped inside.
At least this is my take on things *shrugs* what are your thoughts?

News Time: Penn State scandal, Occupy Atlanta is at it again, mmm and everyone loves some moldy apple sauce
Readers:
I've been fairly busy with school stuff. But a few things grabbed my attention today and bare in mind these stories will come from national news and even local news. Considering I live in Idaho that is where the local stuff will come from. The first story i'd like to comment on is the Penn State situation.
Penn State scandal
Apparently as more and more stuff comes out this top coach Jerry Sandusky has been having sex with his students. Its always amazing too me how people that were around him say they saw nothing; oh you mean this was going on? Whoa that is crazy. Of course the dust is still settling on this story but i'd say this is another case of everybody looking the other way or very simply saying, "Hey its okay keep doing what your doing your a top coach" either way its ten different degrees of messed up.
Penn State if they really want this thing resolved which yes will be a stain on the University as it sure as hell should be! If they seriously give a hoot about their reputation they should honestly do everything in their power to help clear through the muckety muck and get to the facts of what actually happened here. Call me crazy here but i'd say! Mmm it seems like everyone at the school is looking the other way the president of the University included. A lot of heads need to roll when this thing is done.
Occupy Atlanta group tries to occupy the park again
Mmm I've been very closely following these Occupy Wallstreet groups which let me just say this seem out of control from blocking up the port espessically in Detroit to this. We have a group of people who seem to think the regular laws don't apply to them secondly respect for others isn't important either. I think they have lost track of what their actual message is and are just simply doing nothing but raising hell now. That's at least my take on things. You can agree or you can disagree that is your call. Bare in mind I am using this to simply run through stories
Yum anyone want some moldy Apple Sauce
Apparently Snokist a manufacturer of Apple Sauce and baby food is literally just repackaging moldy Apple Sauce and reselling it. The FDA sent them a warning letter which says essentially their process of reprocessing the apple sauce isn't clearing out all the old mold and contaminants. The frightening thing is this company located out of Washington state is continuing to sell this to schools. In other words be careful about what apple sauce your kids are consuming
Mmm those are just a few stories I decided to touch on as this follows i'll probably even focus on individual articles here and there. Though it might not be for a while now because I am quite busy with school. Feel free to comment on any of the above topics covered in this article and for those of you who probably figured oh he is just going to use Fox News I didn't do that try again all of these come from MSNBC

Introduction of sorts
Readers:
Hey everybody my name is Christopher Scott. A major passion of mine is talking about the what's happening in the news and secondly politics. Those that sit back and say what is going on out there in another country I think are missing the ball because we are without a doubt a global economy as can be seen currently by what is going on in the EU zone and how that is affecting our own economic situation.
Politically speaking I am a staunch conservative there are a few major issues that I will not at all budge on and more than likely will talk from time to time as well on because they are important to be. One of the major issues being the 2nd amendment. Let me just say this I am not just some crazy redneck either that seems to be this bullshit "stereotype" that has been attached to those that believe strongly in the second amendment. That couldn't be furthest from the truth I am in fact going on 27 years old here and am an active student attending the great school of Boise State (small shout out for the Broncos). Currently I have about two years until I graduate with two BA's one in Human Resources and the second in Business Administration.
This blog will not be about what is going on in my life instead i'll grab daily articles that grab my eye and proceed to comment on them. Though if you really don't like talking about the news or politics that is perfectly understandable feel free to stick to following my other blog http://insidemyhead122.blogspot.com/2011/04/starting-it-off-with-bang.html in which I deal very openly with my trials and tribulations and everything else that is life here I will not at all focus on that. Its also fun and just depends on what is on my mind i'll write about it but nevertheless that is more so a diary.
Comments on my blogs would be much appreciated and are welcomed. I don't care what political spectrum you lean towards it doesn't bother me as long as you are respectful in what you say and don't turn it into a battle instead of arguing the issues. Though I won't lie I am not perfect and realize that things can sometimes get riled up and feelings can get heated so I perfectly understand that as well.
Fairly short but I think this sets the ball rolling so to speak. I'll catch ya on the flip side and please realize that with school I may if you do comment on something not get back to you instantly but I will get back to you asap
